Nädalavahetus/Last weekend :)

Reede/Friday

Reede päeval käisime Xanadu kaubanduskeskuses. Ostsime mõlemad endale sügis/talve mantlid. Oleme ostuga mõlemad väga rahul. Näeme nüüd soliidsed välja :D Õhtul toimus Cantubury kooli seltskonnaga istumine iiri pubis kus kõik joogid olid 2 1 hinnaga.

Friday afternoon we spent in a Xanadu mall 20 minutes away from the city. We both found a fall/winter coats. The coats are really nice, especially Kyle’s :D He looks handsome. In the evening Cantebury organized pub night in a irish bar drinks 2 for 1 price. It was fun.

Laupäev/Saturday

Laupäeval magasime nii kaua kui und jätkus. Päeva sisustasime kinos käimisega- Facebooki filmi vaadates ning jõudsime veel Prado muuseumi külastada. Õhtu lõppes meil pubis kus sai süüa nii palju kui tahad kui joogi ainult ostad. Enamus tapad olid muidugi saiadega aga leidus üksikuid häid ka.

We just love weekends, because we can sleep :D We went on a date- movie (Social Network- Facebook movie what was really good) and then Prado museum. We ended our evening in bar where you can eat as much as you want, you just have to buy drink. There was a lot of tapas with bread what I don’t like, but there were some good ones. One thing I liked in South Spain was that they don’t use a lot of bread for tapas not like in Madrid.

Pühapäev/Sunday

Lõuna paiku läksime La Latina kirbuturule lootes et leiame midagi kihvti, aga kahjuks ei leidnud midagi. Leidsime baari kus söime kana mis oli päris maitsev. Tegime mõlemad endast portreepildid metro kuukaardi jaoks mille nüüd kuu lõpus mõlemad endale teeme. Tuleb odavam kui iga päev pileteid ostame. Enne jalgpallimängu tahtsime minna toidupoodi et järgmiseks nädalaks vajalik toidukraam ära osta aga näe üllatus kõik toidupoed meie korteri lähedal olid suletud. Kuidas see on võimalik??? Ma ei saa aru. Eks meil tuleb homme see reis ette võtta. Õhtu lõppes jalgpalli vaadates ja pizzat süües. Meie meeskond Redskins võitis, jeeee :D

Every Sunday there is a flea market in La Latina. We went there hoping to find something, but no luck this time. We found a chicken restaurant on the way back and ate early lunch there. The chicken was good, but a little bit dry. In the end of this month we are buying metro pass for a month, because it will be cheaper than buying tickets every day. For that pass we have to have a picture so we used the photoboot in the mall. Before the football game we wanted to go and buy groceries but surprise surprise the grocery stores were closed. How is that possible? It’s Sunday, every normal person will buy groceries on Sunday before next week. I don’t understand how things work here in Madrid. So, we bought pizza and watch Redskins game. We won, yay :D

Kyle käis hommikul tööl. Kella 14ks läks uuesti tööle. Mina jõudsin koju 21 ajal, sest käisin El Corte Inglesis ja ostsin Kyle’ile ameerika jalgpalli. Üllatus talle väga meeldis. Mind ootas ka kodus üllatus. Küünlavalgel õhtusöök. Super! Tähistasime kuna Kyle sai täiskohaga õpetaja töö ning ta on samuti vastutav teiste õpetajate üle.

Kyle went to work in the morning and also 2 o’clock in the afternoon. I got home after work around 9 PM, because I went to buy Kyle football to surprise him. He was talking about it couple of days ago. I wasn’t the only one who made a surprise. When I got home there was a dinner waiting for me with candles. So romantic :) We were celebrating that Kyle got a full-time job in the afterschool program and he is also coordinator in the school. Good job!!!

Hommikul magasime kauem kui tavaliselt, kuna Kyle’il polnud tundi hommikul. Koristaja tuli 13 ajal. Kyle läks tööle ja mina poodi süüa ostma. Õhtul käisin tööl, hiljem olime kodused.

In the morning we slept longer than usually, because Kyle didn’t had a class. The cleaner came around noon, Kyle went to work and I grocery shopping. After I got home from work we stayed home.

Neljapäev/Thursday

Käisime mõlemad tööl. Kyle’il oli ka pikk päev, kuna ta asendas ühte tüdrukut. Kui mõlemad koju jõudsime otsustasime minna välja sööma, kuna oleme koguaeg kodus süüa teinud ja ei ole ammu kahekesi väljas söömas käinud. Valisime ühe söögikoha kodu lähedal, mida üks meie sõber meile soovitas. Tellisime taldrikutäie liha mis osutus väga maitsvaks. Magustoiduks söime cheesecake ehk siis ameerika juustukook mis oli ülimaitsev. Enamus kohti kus söömas oleme käinud on toit olnud keskpärane. Seekord valitud koht ja söök osutus väga maitsvaks. Võib isegi teinekord tagasi sinna minna.

Kyle had a long day today at school. After we both got home from work we decided to eat dinner out because we have been cooking at home all the time and we haven’t eaten out just two of us a long time. Our friend recommanded a place near our apartment so that’s where we went. We ordered plate full of meat what was suprisingly good. We have eaten out in Madrid but haven’t found anything really good. Well, now we found one place where we could come back. We also got a home made cheesecake what was delicious.

Eelmine nädal/Last week

Ülevaade eelmisest nädalast 13.10-17.10

Eelmine nädal ei toimunud midagi põnevat millest oleks võinud kirjutada. Käisime mõlemad iga päev tööl ja õhtud veetsime kahekesi kodus. Neljapäeval käisime korra Chrisiga linna peal, poisid jõid baar õlut ja reedel käisime kahekesi kinos- reede õhtune kohting. Käisime filmi „Wall Street- Raha ei maga“ vaatamas. Hea film oli- julgen soovitada ;) Laupäeva päeval lebotasime kodus ja õhtul toimus Cindy juures potluck ehk siis inimesed tõid erinevaid toite ja toimus jälle üks maitsev söömispidu. Rahvast tuli seekord päris palju ja lauda katsid maistvad söögid. Pühapäev möödus ka rahulikult ja lõppes ameerika jalgpalli mängu vaadates.

October 13- 17

Nothing interesting happened last week so that’s why I haven’t written anything. We both went to work and the evening spent at home just two of us. On Thursday we went out with Chris and guys had some beers in a bar. On Friday night we did a date night, we went to see a movie „Wall Street“. We both liked it, it was really good. We spent the whole Saturday at home doing nothing. Sometimes it’s good not to do anything. In the evening we went to a potluck at Cindys apartment. There was a lot of delicious food and a lot of people. Lindsey made pumpkin cookies. I think I ate like 6 or 7 of those because those were soooooooo good. I even asked the receipe, but I don’t think I can find canned pumpkin from Spain to make the cookies at home. Sunday was also a relaxing day and in the evening we watched Redskins game.

Cordoba- Madrid

Inimesed Lõuna Hispaanias räägivad palju rohkem inglise keelt kui Madriidis. Eks sealsed piirkonnad on rohkem turistidele mõeldud ka. Hotellis söime jälle buffee hommikusööki. Ladusin endale vähemalt 3 taldrikutäit toitu, et saaks kõike maitsta- võileivad, kelloggs, puuviljad, jogurt, tee, mahl, omlett, pirukad jne. Seejärel hakkasime sõitma Cordoba poole. Sõit sinna kestis kusagil 2 tundi. Parkisime auto ja läksime jalutasime linna peal ringi. Kuna pidime auto kella 16:30ks ära viima ja tahtsime ka varasema bussi peale minna ei saanud me väga kaua linna peal ringi käia. Käisime Cordoba mošees, mis peaks olema suuruselt kolmas mošee maailmas. See oli seest väga lahe, ma ei ole midagi sellist varem näinud. Enne linnast lahkumist söime viimase lõunasöögi Lõuna Hispaanias. Sõitsime autoga bussijaama kuhu pidime ära viima oma auto. Mitte kedagi polnud seal autot vastu võtmas, mis oli väga imelik. Seal oli kas kuhu sai võtmed ja dokumendid jätta. Jooksime ruttu bussipiletit ostma ning seejärel kiirustasime bussi peale- 5 tunnine bussisõit tagasi Madriidi võis alata. Buss millega me Sevillasse läksime oli mugav ja seal oli rohkem ruumi. Buss millega tagasi Madriidi sõitsime oli nii kitsas ja kumbki ei saanud üldse magada ning meil mõlemal olid kaelad pärast nii haiged. Ega pikka pidu kodus polnud, mõlemad uinusime sügavasse unne ja enne hommikut me ei liigutanud varvast ka :D

Kokkuvõtteks võin öelda, et reis oli väga lahe. Olen uhke meie mõlema üle, et suutsime kaardi abil õigetesse kohtadesse jõuda!

People in South Spain speak more English than people in Madrid. Well I think because there are more tourists. Again we started our day with buffee breakfast. I took 3 plates of food, a little bit of everything- bread, cakes, sandwiches, juices, tea, omlet, pies, fruits, yogurt, cereal etc. It was our last day in South Spain and our last stop was 2 hours away- Cordoba. We had to return the car 4:30 PM so we didn’t have a lot of time to look around Cordoba. Only thing we wanted to see was Cordoba Mosque. I haven’t seen anything like that before. Just beautiful. Before going to the bus station we ate our last meal in South Spain. We took the car to the bus station. There were nobody to pick up the car, so we parked the car and put the keys and car document to a box. We run to buy the bus tickets, because we wanted to go back with earlier bus. It was 5 hour bus ride to Madrid. That bus wasn’t comfortable at all. We couldn’t sleep and our necks were so painful. After we got home we fell asleep right away and didn’t move until the morning.

We are both happy that we decided to go to South Spain. We had a great time and we are a good team!!! Can’t wait new trip and new adventures with you Kyle!

Granada

Malaga- Granada on kusagil 140 km ja sõit sinna kestis kusagil 2 tundi. Sõit sinna oli väga äge, kuna teel sinna ümbritsesid meid Sierra Nevada mäed. Eks see sõit kaardi abil on ikka pingeline, kuna peab jälgima mis teedel oled ja kuhu pead minema. Meie saime päris hästi hakkama. Olen uhke meie üle!!! Eelmisel õhtul broneerisime oma hotelli ka Granadas. Linna sisse sõites otsisime hotelli ligi tund aega. Meil ei olnud linna kaarti ja seetõttu ei olnud meil õrna aimu ka kuhu poole me pidime sõitma. Lõpuks küsisime kus asub see tänav ning pika otsimise peale leidsime hotelli ülesse. Parkisime auto parklasse, mis oli odavam kui parkla hotellis. Jällegi saime linna kaardi hotellist ning küsisime mida me kindlasti peaksime Granadas nägema. Vihma hakkas sadama ja otsustasime teha esimese peatuse ühes väikeses baaris kus jõime klaasi kohalikku õlut, mis oli päris maitsev. Granada meeldis meile mõlemale väga. Tegime linnale tiiru peale. Tahtsime minna Alhambra paleesse, aga sinna peab pileti juba varakult ära ostma (mitmeid päevi enne sinna minekut), kuna järjekorrad on pikad. Jalutasime mööda väikseid tänavaid mis olid nii armsad oma valgete majadega. Jõudsime mäe tippu kus avanes vaade üle Granada. Tagasi jalutades sattusime tänavale kus olid araabiamaade restoranid ning samuti ka poed. Otsustasime süüa lõunat seal, midagi teistsugust vahelduseks. Morocco tee oli nii maitsev ja söök samuti. Ei taha koguaeg Hispaania toitu süüa seega see oli õige valik. Vihm ei jäänud järele ja mul hakkas nii külm. Otsustasime tagasi hotelli jalutada. Teel hotelli leidsime ühe väga laheda baari kus jõime klaasi veini mõlemad ja saime tasuta tapa. Päev Granadas oli väga lahe!

Malaga- Granada is about 140 km and it took us about 2 hours to get there. Drive to Granada was really awesome, because the Sierra Nevada mountains were surrounding us the whole way. Driving without GPS it’s not that easy sometimes, especially in the cities where you have no idea where are one way streets and we didn’t want to drive out the city to the highway again, because then we couldn’t turn around to go back. I can say that we made a good team and we found all the cities and all the right roads. I’m proud of us!!! Last night we booked our hotel in Granada also. We were looking for the hotel for like an hour in the city. This time we had the city map, but in Spain there is really hard to find street names. We parked the car near the hotel where was cheaper than in the hotel parking lot. We took the map and started to walk towards the city center. It was like 15 minutes walk from the hotel. It started to rain on the way to the center and we decided to stop in a bar and drink a beer. The rain didn’t stop so we started to walk again. Granada is really cool too. Right now we both like Malaga and Granada. Granada has old buildings. There is Alhambra palace in Granada, but to go there for a tour you have to book it many days before your visit. We’ll go there next time. The small streets with white houses are so cute. We walked on the top of the hill where was a view over Granada. When walking back we found a shopping street. It felt like we were in Morocco or some other Arabic country. We ate lunch in arabic restaurant, it was really good- hummus, cuscus and moroccon mint tea. I just felt like eating something else than Spanish food. It still didn’t stop raining and it was starting to get cold outside. We went back to the hotel. On the way to the hotel we stopped in a really cool bar drink wine and ate some free tapas. Day in Granada was successful.

Costa del Sol/Malaga

Hommikul läksime söime buffee hommikusööki, mis oli hotellitoa hinna sees. Valik oli suur ja toit väga maitsev. Enne kui hotellist lahkusime läksime vaatasime natuke ümbruskonnas ringi. Hotelli taga oli kohe rand, see oli päris lahe. Selles piirkonnas on puhkemajad, mida inimesed saavad välja rentida. Kogu see rannikupiirkond oli Costa del Sol. Panime kohvrid autosse ning suundusime Malaga poole. Sõit mööda rannikut oli imeline. Cadiz-Malaga on kusagil 300 km, aga me olime juba nii lähedal ja sõita oli jäänud ainult 45 minutit. Hommikul broneerisime endale ka hotelli Malagas. Kohe alguses Malaga linna sisse sõites meeldis see meile. Sõitsime ringi ja otsisime oma hotelli. Parkisime auto kuna ringi sõites ei leidnud me hotelli ning liiklus oli väga keeruline. Lootsime, et jalutades leiame hotelli kiiremini ülesse ning see meil ka õnnestus. Sõitsime hotelli lähedal asuvasse parklasse ning viisime kohvrid hotelli. Kyle läks parkis auto hotelli parklasse. Saime hotellist linna kaardi ja päev Malagas võis alata. Käisime pildistasime tähtsamad vaatamisväärsused ning suundusime randa. Malaga on väga ilus linn. Minu lemmik linn Hispaanias hetkel. Ilm oli soe ja nii mõnus oli jälle lühikeste pükstega väljas jalutada. Rand oli super. Me mõlemad mõtlesime, et mida me küll Madriidis teeme,kolime hoopis siia. Hispaania on tuntud kui ka alasti randade poolest, nii vähemalt ütles Kyle mulle, et nemad teavad et paljud inimesed, täpsemalt siis naised päevitavad topless. Ta tahtis nii väga kinnitust saada, et see on tõsi ja ta tõesti leidis ühe naise rannast ilma rinnahoidjata. Kahjuks ei olnud see noor ilus tüdruk, vaid keskeas naisterahvas. Nalja mul kui palju. Suundusime tagasi kesklinna et süüa hilist lõunat. Kella 19ks läksime tagasi hotelli, kuna Kyle’il hakkas jalgpallimäng ja ta tahtis seda vaadata. Sellega ka meie õhtu lõppes. Igal õhtul oleme me mõlemad suht kiiresti magama jäänud, kuna päevad on pikad ja väsitavad- ega reisimine kerge pole :)

In the morning we ate buffee breakfast. There was a big choice of food and it was really good. Before checking out from the hotel we went for a walk outside. Last night it was dark and we didn’t see where we were. The hotel was on the beach. It was so cool. It was resort area where people come for vacations and rent a house on the beach. The costal area is called Costa del Sol. We started to driving towards Malaga. Drive near the coast was amazing. It was only 45 minutes to Malaga from the hotel where we stayed. In the morning we also booked a hotel in Malaga for next night, because we didn’t want to start looking for a hotel over there. When we drove into the city we both already liked it. We were driving around and looking for the hotel. It was hard to find it because we didn’t have the city map. We parked the car and asked people where is the hotel. It didn’t took us a long time to figure it out. We drove to the hotel, parked the car and took the bags to our room. People in the reception gave us the city map and showd us where to go and what to see. Here we go again! We walked around the city center, took pictures of the sightseeings and then started to walk towards the beach. Malaga is really pretty. My favorite city in Spain right now. The weather was warm, it was so good to wear shorts again. The beach was cool. It wasn’t that warm, but a lot of people were tanning on the beach. That moment we were thinking that why are we living in Madrid, lets move here. Kyle told me that he knows that girls in Europe are tanning topless, so he was trying to find a naked girl on the beach. He didn’t have to look for long time. He saw 2 women on the beach topless, one was around 40 and the other one around 60, lol :D I think he wasn’t expecting to see that, but at least now he knows that it’s true. After a short walk on the beach we headed back to the central to find a place to eat dinner, because Kyle wanted to be back in the hotel 7PM to watch Redskins game. That was the last thing we did in Malaga, because after the game we both fell asleep.

Cadiz

Julie ja Mary otsustasid ka Sevillasse tulla. Nad jõudsid Sevillasse hommikul 8 paiku. Hommikul ootas meid ka üllatus, väljas sadas ladinal vihma. Leidsime väikese kohviku kus söime hommikust. Peale seda võtsime oma vihmavarjud ja läksime linna peale jalutama. Mõnekümne minuti pärast olid jalad märjad, aga ega see meid ei peatanud. Kyle, Mary ja Julie otsustasid minna Sevilla kirikusse sisse. Mina ei läinud, kuna see maksis raha ja olen Euroopas väga paljusid suuri kirikuid seest näinud. Kyle’ile oli see aga esmakordne. Ootasin neid väljas. Peale nende ringkäiku kirikus jäi ka vihm järele ja päike tuli välja. Jalutasime Plaza de Espana poole, see on siis mingisugune väljak. See oli väga lahe väljak. Turistipildid tehtud suundusime tagasi hotelli, et võtta oma kohvrid ja minna meie rendiautole järgi. Meie autoks osutus sinine Skoda. GPS me ei võtnud, kuna see maksis rohkem kui auto. Ostsime Hispaania teede kaardi ja lootsime et suudame selle abil õigetesse linnadesse jõuda. Eks see paistab. Võtsime auto Sevillas ja tagasi viime Cordobasse, kui me sinna kohale muidugi jõuame. Kyle ei olnud kaua aega manuaaliga sõitnud ja palusime tal parkimisplatsil paar tiiru teha enne kui ta suurtele teedele sõitma läheb. Ütleme nii, et ta sai päris hästi hakkama. Küsisime mis suunas peame sõitma hakkama, et Cadiz jõuda ning hakkasime sõitma. Otsisime tükk aega silti mis näitaks Cadizi poole ja lõpuks selle ka leidsime.

Sevilla- Cadiz 130 km ja sõitsime sinna kusagil 1 tund ja 30 minutit. Cadiz on ajalooline sadama linn. Hooned olid seal väga vanad ja stiili poolest sarnanesid need araabiamaadega. Söime õhtust seal ning siis otsustasid Mary ja Julie koju minna bussiga. Meie jätkasime oma reisi. Hakkasime sõitma Marbella suunas ja otsustasime leida hotelli kusagil seal lähedal. Vihma sadas terve tee. Kyle oli väsinud juba ja otsustasime, et esimene hotell mida me kusagil näeme lähme sinna. Enne Marbellat me midagi ei leidnud. Marbellas sadas ka vihma ja oli pime, seega me linna ei näinud ning hotelli ka ei leidnud. Hotellid olid kas liiga kallid või polnud neil ühtegi vaba tuba. Sõitsime siis edasi ning lõpuks leidsime ühe hotelli kiirtee kõrval. Pimedas sõites me muidugi paljusid hotelle ei näinud või siis sõitsime neist mööda ja ei olnud võimalik tagasi minna.

Julie and Mary decided to come to Sevilla also. They took a night bus and arrived to Sevilla 8 o’clock in the morning. There was a surprise also that morning- it was raining outside. We took out our umbrellas and went to look for a place to eat breakfast. We found a small cafe and the food was really cheap and good also. After breakfast we were walking in the city and pretty soon my feet were so wet. We went to the hotel, changed the shoes and did check out. We left our bags in the hotel until we were done touring in the city. Kyle, Mary and Julie decided to go inside the Sevillas Cathedral. I’ve seen a lot of old Europeans cathedrals and churches so I didn’t want to spend money on that. Kyle went because this is something new and exciting for him to see those kind of old cathedrals. He told me after that is has been the coolest church he has ever seen. At least it stoped raining when they came out the cathedral. I was waiting for them inside the entrance. After that we headed towards Plaza de Espana. That square was so amazing. After we’ve done taking pictures of the city we went back to the hotel, took our bags and went to pick up our car from rental company. We got blue Skoda. Not bad car :D We didn’t get GPS, because it was more than the car. We bought Spain road map and hoped that we can find all the cities with that. Old school! We are returning the car in Cordoba if we make it there, lol. The car was manual. Kyle told us that he hasn’t driven with manual a long time, so he had to do some circles in the parking lot before going to the roads. He was good! We asked how to find a road what goes to Cadiz and then started to drive. We were looking for a sign to Cadiz long time and after driving 20 minutes we found it.

Sevilla- Cadiz 130 km and it took us 1 hour and 30 minutes to get there. Cadiz is city and port in southwestern Spain. The city has well-preserved historical buildings. We all ate dinner in a restuarant and after that Julie and Mary decided to go back to Madrid with a bus. We continued our trip. We started to driving towards Marbella. It was dark and raining. Kyle was getting really tired. We got in Marbella, but didn’t find any available hotels. We didn’t see the city at all, because it was raining outside. We started to drive again and finally just stayed in a hotel near the highway. It was a little bit expensive , but we didn’t have any other choice, because we didn’t want to sleep in the car. I bet there was more hotels near the highway, but because it was dark we couldn’t find anything. At least the price included breakfast buffee. Hopefully it’s good. It didn’t even took us a second to fall asleep we were so tired.
